Unit03_ Analyzing Scripts

For this unit, first of all, I needed to analyze the script sample for making storyboard. I did my analysis based on the story of the first sample.

While analyzing the scripts, I could imagine some screen space, and the atmosphere and appearance of the characters in the story I read.

After I roughly conceived the scene and visual effect, the number of scene was more than 95. However, it might be increased depending on the situation as soon.

Reading the given script and analyzing it while thinking about screen transitions and angles, etc., can be tedious, but it was significantly helpful for drawing storyboard.

Final analyzed scripts ( 12 March 2025)

While drawing storyboards on my sketchbook, I realized that I would need to add more details of screen and character's movement on the script sample with blue pen.

To be specific, I changed the setting of the scene in case of something has to be nervous, reversal. Because the three pursuers appears with their masks, it could be helpful for hiding their identity, but also it could be very dangerous when their face or head are attacked by strong power. So, I wrote down that the leader of pursuer stumbles back after getting hit in the head by a trash can lid and the third pursuer's mask was broken by Val's roundhouse kick.

Also, I added some details of a scene where a Black SUV appears and blocks the Val's escape. In this process, I had to add a side view silhouette of the driver, the steering wheel turning, and a top view of the vehicle. These scenes used various compositions for movement of the car.
