The Four Guardian Gods are imaginary animals that have been passed down throughout East Asia since ancient times. They are sacred animals that represent the east, west, south and north. They are composed as Blue Dragon, White Tiger, Phoenix, and Hyun-moo and among them, White Tiger rules the west, and has the strongest endurance and physical power.

It rules over fall among the seasons, and iron among the five elements of East Asian philosophy(= Fire, Water, Tree, Soil, and Iron).

It has the role of managing the list of the dead and protecting humans from the harmful ghosts by predicting futures. Also, it has the ability to see through the essence of things. The White Tiger is an immortal god like other gods, so it cannot be killed or injured by any attack.
